While investors were keeping a close eye on the billions wiped off Facebook’s market valuation on Monday in the wake of its data scandal, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos was busy taking a stroll with his version of man’s best friend.

Billionaire Bezos tweeted a photograph of himself walking alongside a robotic dog – the latest iteration of Boston Dynamics’ SpotMini robot – at Amazon’s annual MARS Conference in Palm Springs, California.

Boston Dynamics’ robo-dog has been a source of terror for some artificial intelligence alarmists recently, after the company released a video showing SpotMini opening a door with its arm.

Amazon’s invitation-only MARS Conference focuses on machine learning, automation, robotics and space exploration. The company has been gradually building up its robotics division with logistical automation acquisitions in recent years.

Bezos’ fun times with robots didn’t end there, though. He was also seen playing the bottle flipping game and was followed around by Piaggio Gita delivery robots.

Making an entrance at MARS appears to be becoming a tradition for Bezos. Last year, he tweeted a photo of himself in an intimidating 13-foot robot from South Korea’s Hankook Mirae Technology.
