(Bloomberg) -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will face trial on charges of bribery and fraud, Israeli TV channels reported, ahead of Attorney General Avihai Mandelblit’s official announcement Thursday.

The indictment was both long awaited and unprecedented. Netanyahu will become the first sitting Israeli leader to be prosecuted.
