Bank of America Corp. is ending US$200 twice-monthly pay supplements branch workers were receiving.

The additional payments are being halted this month, according to Bill Halldin, a spokesman for the company. They were introduced for eligible staff in March as the coronavirus spread throughout the U.S.

“We continue to offer US$100 a day assistance with child care or elder care for employees,” along with other benefits introduced during the pandemic, Halldin said Wednesday. The lender has provided 1.7 million days of backup care and is still offering to reimburse employees who opt to take alternative transportation to work.

Popular Information reported earlier about the payments.
