TORONTO — Aecon Group Inc. reported a loss attributable to shareholders of $17.9 million during its first quarter, compared with a loss of $37.9 million a year earlier.
That amounted to a loss per diluted share of 28 cents for the three months ended March 31, compared with 60 cents during the prior-year quarter.

The company says in its outlook that it expects 2026 revenue to exceed 2025 levels due to the strength of its backlog and other factors.
