Quebecor's first-quarter profit up from year ago as average revenue per user rises

MONTREAL — Quebecor Inc. reported its net income attributable to shareholders totalled $225.4 million in its first quarter, up from $190.7 million a year earlier.

The media and telecommunications firm says the profit amounted to 97 cents per diluted share for the quarter ended March 31, up from 82 cents per diluted share a year earlier.

Revenue for the quarter totalled $1.40 billion, up from $1.34 billion in the first three months of 2025.

Quebecor says the increase came as it added 28,800 mobile lines in the quarter.

The company says its average monthly mobile revenue per user was $35.19 in the quarter, up 1.4 per cent from $34.70 a year earlier.

On an adjusted basis, Quebecor says it earned 97 cents per share in its latest quarter, up from an adjusted profit of 80 cents per share a year earlier.
