Cohere Inc. says it has acquired a data analytics platform operating in the biopharma sector.

The Canadian artificial intelligence company would not say how much it is paying for Reliant AI nor how the deal is structured.

Reliant AI says its technology makes it easier for life sciences teams to collect, organize and analyze complex data.

The firm was started in 2023 and has offices in Montreal, Berlin and Denver.

Purchasing the company will help Cohere expand its reach in the life and health sciences sectors.

Cohere is in the process of merging its business with German AI firm Aleph Alpha.
