Toyota is recalling more than a dozen models and makes of their vehicles due to a software problem that impacts the vehicles’ display panels.

The recall impacts 70,480 vehicles in Canada, and the company warns the problem could result in an increased risk of crash.

Canada’s motor vehicle safety recalls database warns that a software problem could prevent the display of the combination meter in the instrument panel when starting the car. The issue means certain crucial vehicle information may not be visible on the panel, such as the speedometer, fuel gauge, warning lights and malfunction indicators.

The recall is for vehicles that have a 12.3-inch display.

If your vehicle is included in the recall, the company will notify you by mail and recommend you take it to a dealership to update the combination meter software, the notice says. Some vehicles might need to have the combination meter replaced.

The makes, models and model years affected are:

  • Lexus LS, 2024, 2025
  • Lexus RX 500H, 2025
  • Lexus TX, 2024
  • Toyota Camry, 2024
