Bombardier’s Global 8000 business jet, the world’s fastest civilian plane since the Concorde, has received certification from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration, the Canadian plane maker said on Friday.

The Global 8000 jet has a top speed of Mach 0.95, or about 729 miles per hour.

The ultra-long range aircraft, which entered into service earlier this month, received certification from Canada’s transport regulator, Transport Canada on Nov. 5.

Certification from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency is pending, Bombardier said.
