Microsoft Outlook users in Canada are reporting major outages prohibiting them from logging into their accounts and sending emails.

Primary reports of people having trouble accessing the software first began around 5 a.m. ET on Monday, according to data provided by Downdetector.com.

However, nearly 300 people in Canada reported having issues with the professional software as of 7:15 p.m., according to the outage tracking website.

A higher than usual volume of user reports was concentrated in Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal over the past 24 hours.

“We have addressed an issue that affected sign-ins for some Outlook and Hotmail users on the default iOS mail app,” a spokesperson for Microsoft told CTV News in an email.

Affected customers are advised to “take action” and follow additional steps on their “Service Health Status” page and on the M365 Status Page on X.
