VANCOUVER — Orla Mining Ltd. says it produced 88,265 ounces of gold in its second quarter, driven by its Musselwhite mine in Ontario.
The company says Musselwhite produced 67,077 ounces in the quarter ended June 30, while its Camino Rojo mine in Mexico produced 21,188 ounces.
Orla chief executive Jason Simpson says the first half of the year exceeded expectations driven by outperformance at Musselwhite.
The company says it remains on track to achieve its 2026 production guidance of 340,000 to 360,000 ounces of gold.
Production at Camino Rojo was temporarily stopped during the second quarter as workers objected to the amount paid under the profit-sharing plan. Operations resumed after a brief stoppage and a deal was recently approved by employees and signed before the Mexican Labour Authority.
Earlier this year Orla announced a deal to combine operations with Equinox Gold Corp. A shareholder vote on the proposal is set for July 22.
