Health Canada has announced a recall for an electric walking pad sold at Canadian Tire due to an “electrical hazard.”

The recall involves the PowerG Walking Pad, Model Number 499-4052 (UPC 8 46325 03115 8), the federal agency said in a recall notice posted last week.

“The affected product does not meet the requirements of the relevant standard for this product category, which poses an electrical hazard,” the notice said.

The federal agency has asked customers to “immediately stop using” the recalled product and return it to a Canadian Tire store for a refund or in-store credit.

The company reported that 7,000 units of the affected products were sold in Canada between January 2025 to July 2026.

There have been no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada, as of Aug. 10, the notice added.

Customers are advised to contact Canadian Tire by telephone or visit the company’s website for more information.
