MONTREAL — A number of employees at engineering firm AtkinsRéalis have recently seen their pay delayed as the company transitions to a new resource planning system.
A spokesperson for AtkinsRéalis, formerly SNC-Lavalin, confirms that there were delays in both the Aug. 19 and Sept. 2 pay cycles.
She says there were fewer problems in the most recent pay cycle, but did not specify how many employees were impacted.
As of the end of 2025, AtkinsRéalis employed over 40,000 people worldwide.
The Montreal-based company reported a total revenue of around $11 billion and over $2.6 billion in profits in 2025.
The spokesperson says the company offered to support employees affected by the delays and pay them outside the regular pay cycle as needed.
The pay issues arose after the company extended its existing international finance and accounting platform to Canada in July, explained the spokesperson, Laurence Myre Leroux.
Leroux said the company prepared its employees for the changes before the new system was adopted.
“We remain committed to supporting employees throughout this transition and ensuring they receive the compensation to which they are entitled,” she wrote in an email to The Canadian Press.
