Air Canada passengers heading to Dubai and Tel Aviv will have to wait longer, with the airline pushing the planned return of both routes into January 2027.
Air Canada had been expected to resume its Dubai service as part of its winter schedule, but its latest travel update, shared on Tuesday, indicates flights to Dubai International Airport will not restart until mid-January.
The airline is also expected to resume service to Tel Aviv around the same time, extending the suspension of flights to Israel as uncertainty continues to affect air travel in the region, following the U.S. and Israel’s war with Iran in March.
Air Canada first cancelled flights to both destinations right after tension started in the Middle East on February 28th.
The airline introduced a flexible booking policy for eligible affected customers late in March. Depending on the circumstances of the booking, travellers may be able to rebook for a later date without paying additional fees, change their destination or cancel their trip and receive a credit for future Air Canada travel.
However, travellers should check Air Canada’s latest travel updates and the terms attached to their individual booking before making changes, the airline added.

While local airlines Emirates and flydubai continue to operate from Dubai International Airport, several international airlines have also been reviewing their schedules.
British Airways, Cathay Pacific, KLM and Singapore Airlines are among the carriers whose Dubai operations remain uncertain.
Canadians with scheduled trips to the Middle East should check their flight information before heading to the airport.
