(Bloomberg) -- Germany saw a surge in startup companies compared with last year, with 15% increase recorded in the first half reported by the country’s startup association. Software was key, with an unprecedented number of businesses created, accounting for a fifth of the total. That trend was driven by increased digitalization and use of artificial intelligence.
