Canada Goose Holdings Inc. is going after the basketball world’s best and brightest with its latest partnership.

The Toronto-based parka-maker announced Tuesday that it is teaming up with the National Basketball Association on a multi-year deal to design a line of clothing tied to the league’s annual All-Star Game.

This year, Canada Goose will partner with Los Angeles-based streetwear brand RHUDE to produce an NBA-branded jacket and vest that will be available to participants in this year’s All-Star festivities scheduled for the weekend of March 7 in Atlanta. The outerwear line will also be available through Canada Goose’s website and in select company stores.

“This multi-year partnership is a significant milestone for Canada Goose and the NBA; and our inaugural design partner, RHUDE, known for a culturally impactful approach to design, is the perfect tipoff partner," said Dani Reiss, president and chief executive officer of Canada Goose, in a release.

"While this year looks different, we are proud to celebrate the players who have always supported us."

The All-Star rosters were unveiled in late February, through a combination of fan voting for the starting line-ups, and NBA coach selection for the reserves. While this year’s game will feature the likes of LeBron James, Kawhi Leonard, and Giannis Antetokounmpo, no members of the Toronto Raptors were named to the Eastern Conference team.

Canada Goose has struck several partnerships of note in recent years, expanding its portfolio with new offerings made by Chinese fashion designer Angel Chen for 2021 Shanghai Fashion Week as well as an ongoing initiative with Inuit designers known as Project Atigi launched in 2019.
