Biden’s pot stance ‘essentially meaningless’: Oregon Democrat

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden's plan to decriminalize cannabis rather than fully legalizing it is "essentially meaningless," according to a Democratic congressman. Marijuana Moment reports that Earl Blumenauer, who represents Oregon's third congressional district, said during an interview with a Canopy Growth executive that Biden's stance on cannabis doesn't go far enough to fully legalizing the drug. “For the campaign to talk about decriminalization is essentially meaningless. Your grandmother is for decriminalization,” said Blumenauer, who is also co-chair of the Congressional Cannabis Caucus. The website also reports that Blumenauer believes that if Hillary Clinton were to have been elected president in 2016, she would have backed cannabis legalization.

Cannabis, according to Jim

Actor and comedian Jim Belushi wants to invite you into his cannabis business. Belushi is starring in a new three-part television series focusing on the legal cannabis business he runs from his southern Oregon farm. The show, which premieres on Discovery in the U.S. on Wednesday, shows him running the business he started in 2015 and interacting with his co-workers. Belushi told the New York Post that if his late brother John (of The Blues Brothers and Animal House fame) had been a frequent cannabis user, he'd still be alive today. John Belushi died in 1982 of a cocaine and heroin overdose.
