(Bloomberg) -- Crypto.com has appointed Chin Tah Ang as general manager of Singapore, the company said in a statement Thursday.

• Ang previously was Head of Digital Industry Singapore, a joint office between the Singapore Economic Development Board, Enterprise Singapore and Infocomm Media Development Authority; he also had been in a variety of roles with the EDB
• NOTE: Crypto.com received in principle approval from the Monetary Authority of Singapore for its Major Payment Institution License in June
