Freshii Inc. (FRII.TO) is adding new members to its management and governance teams as the fast-food chain grapples with disappointing sales and profit trends.

Oliver Rodbard has been appointed as the chain’s vice president of operations, while Bill Schultz will become a member of the company’s board of directors.

“We are pleased to welcome Oliver and Bill to the senior leadership team,” said Matthew Corrin, Freshii’s founder and CEO, in a release. “These leaders bring elevated and complimentary skillsets to the senior team that will benefit Freshii’s omni-channel brand growth.”

Schultz joins Freshii after working at Procter & Gamble, Mars, Georgia-Pacific, and most recently serving as president of Coca-Cola Refreshments in Canada.

“Freshii is poised for long-term growth, with an impressive management team and board. It’s a privilege to help support this brand and team,” Schultz said in a release.

Rodbard, who will be responsible for leading Freshii’s restaurant operations, has spent the last 12 years at Yum! Brands in a number of roles. He was most recently a member of Pizza Hut Canada’s senior management team.

“Freshii is a relevant and  distinctive brand with a huge runway for growth in North America and across the globe in my opinion, and I couldn't be more excited to lead the elevation of our customer experience,” Rodbard said in a release.

The announcement of the new appointments comes ahead of Freshii’s second-quarter earnings report.

Shares of Freshii were trading higher Tuesday morning.
