German Chancellor Merkel Says Lufthansa Bailout Deal Is Close

(Bloomberg) -- Chancellor Angela Merkel said Germany is close to finalizing talks on a bailout deal for Deutsche Lufthansa AG.
“The government is in intensive talks with the company and the European Commission. A decision can be expected shortly,” she said, declining to go into details. “I would give this advice: wait for the talks to end.”
