(Bloomberg) -- Glencore Plc, the world’s biggest commodities trader, said the U.K.’s Serious Fraud Office is investigating the company for bribery.

Glencore will cooperate with the probe, the company said in a statement. The shares sank 5.5% to 224.60 pence in London.

The announcement worsens the legal troubles at the company, which is already being investigated by the U.S. Department of Justice for possible corruption and money-laundering in Venezuela, Nigeria and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Glencore’s Chief Executive Officer Ivan Glasenberg told investors earlier this week to prepare for more leadership changes and hinted that his own departure may come sooner than previously anticipated.
