(Bloomberg) -- Amazon.com Inc.’s big cloud confab had a surprise entertainer this year: Goldman Sachs Group Inc. Chief Executive Officer David Solomon. And a large part of the audience didn’t seem to recognize him.

Fifteen minutes before Amazon Web Services chief Andy Jassy took the stage in Las Vegas, the conference’s usual DJ and her mix of 80’s and 90’s tunes gave way to a mystery bald, man in a dark t-shirt who seemed to favor electronic dance music, with a hard bass-heavy sound that was a bit loud given the early hour.

Later, about 40 minutes into his keynote speech, Jassy revealed the DJ’s identity to the crowd. Solomon often moonlights as DJ D-Sol and this wasn’t his first time playing Vegas, Jassy said. Solomon then re-appeared in a more customary banker’s suit and proceeded to talk about how his company relies on Amazon Web Services.
