(Bloomberg) -- Goldman Sachs Group Inc. has roughly 2,000 people working in its New York offices and about 30% of staff are rotating through the office on a weekly basis, Chief Executive Officer David Solomon said on Wednesday.

The bank has about 60% of employees back in the Hong Kong offices. In most of Europe, the level is at 50%, with about 30% in its U.K. offices.

“I fully believe in time will allow all of us to return to a more normalized environment,” he said on an analyst call following third-quarter results. “Being together enables greater collaboration.”

The bank is nimble, Solomon added, and stands ready to shift gears if the pandemic situation worsens.
