In your opinion, what single investment should investors own right now — and why?
The strong earnings last week from AI-adjacent industrials show a lot more upside from here, GE being one of those names as demand for turbine engines is very strong and they have become a leader in space propulsion as more and more satellites are launched. They need to reposition often, and GE Aerospace has become a leader in those small electric or hybrid engines – this gives different business lines that are growing top and bottom line performance . We like these names a lot right now.
From your perspective, what is one investment investors should consider dropping from their portfolios — and why?
Consumer discretionary names are showing weakness. Lululemon in particular is at risk given their average ticket size could come under more pressure if this energy shock lasts through the summer. Less discretionary money for consumers will directly impact this sector more than others in the short term.
