Drew Clark, President, CEO and Director of Summit Royalties Ltd. (TSXV: SUM | OTCQX: SUMMF), discusses the completion of the company’s acquisition of Star Royalties and what the transaction means for Summit’s next phase of growth.

Following the acquisition, Summit’s portfolio includes 50 royalties and streams, anchored by four producing assets. Two additional assets are entering construction this year, with production from both targeted to begin in 2027, providing Summit with a clear path to near-term production and cash flow growth.

Royalty model provides Summit with diversified precious metals exposure

Unlike mining operators, royalty and streaming companies do not build or operate the underlying mines. Instead, they hold contractual interests that provide exposure to a portion of a project’s production or revenue. This model gives Summit exposure to commodity prices, production growth and exploration success across a diversified portfolio of assets. According to Clark, since completing its first transaction in May 2025, “Summit has continued to scale quickly through disciplined, accretive acquisitions.”

Gold royalties offer investors lower-cost metals exposure

With gold prices near record highs and investors seeking diversified exposure to precious metals, Summit Royalties is positioned to capture emerging demand for royalty and streaming vehicles. The enlarged portfolio now includes 50 royalties and streams, anchored by four producing assets, with two more expected to enter construction in 2026 and production targeted for 2027. By pairing current cash flow with a pipeline of development- and exploration-stage interests, the company aims to give investors exposure to precious metals production alongside near-term cash flow growth.

Star acquisition adds Copperstone gold stream and strengthens leadership

The Star portfolio adds several strategic interests, most notably a four per cent gold stream on Mining Americas Inc.’s Copperstone Project in Arizona.

Copperstone is a fully permitted, past-producing, high-grade gold project supported by a positive pre-feasibility study and formal construction decision. Production is targeted to begin in 2027.

Summit also strengthened its leadership, appointing Kevin MacLean as Chief Investment Officer, Kathy Lai as Vice-President of Finance, and Jay Layman to its board. Clark says the company is, “focused on integrating the portfolio, advancing our pipeline, and continuing to build Summit into a leading cash-flowing precious metal royalty and streaming company.”

Summit Royalties builds cash-flowing precious metals platform

With the Star acquisition complete, Summit is focused on integrating the expanded portfolio, advancing its transaction pipeline and continuing to build a leading cash-flowing precious metals royalty and streaming company.

The combination of producing assets, near-term development projects and longer-term exploration optionality gives Summit multiple potential sources of future production and cash flow growth.
