Ethan Mohan, Executive Vice-President of Voyageur Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (TSXV: VM | OTCPK: VYYRF), discusses the company’s path to commercialize medical imaging products, with revenue already flowing in Canada and FDA approval targeted for Q2 2027. Operating in a US$7-billion contrast media market where imaging agents like barium and iodine support diagnostic procedures, Voyageur sees an opportunity to disrupt competitors relying on fragmented global supply chains. The company is capturing North American market share by controlling production from mineral extraction through finished products.

Vertical integration sets Voyageur apart

Unlike competitors dependent on third-party supply chains, Voyageur owns and controls its mineral resources with proprietary extraction technology. According to company leadership, “We’re the only company in the space that owns and controls these mineral resources with proprietary technology to bring them from the Earth to the bottle.”

This vertical integration reduces costs, ensures supply reliability, and accelerates time to market. The Frances Creek barium resource has demonstrated purity levels that directly translate to extensive revenue potential in barium contrast formulations.

Market validation and revenue scale

Voyageur’s August 2025 Canadian market launch has validated clinical acceptance among diagnostic imaging clinics and health-care authorities, positioning the company for rapid international distribution expansion. The company projects $122 million in annual revenue from barium contrast sales alone once its manufacturing facility is operational. By establishing economic viability through the Canadian market while simultaneously building global distribution infrastructure, Voyageur creates multiple value catalysts for shareholders.

Milestones and growth trajectory in 2026

Recent milestones include an ongoing pre-feasibility study and enabling final barium feasibility work for the barium contrast project, with Fluor advancing the Bayer iodine prill partnership in parallel. Voyageur is also filing its proprietary iodine contrast manufacturing process patent, unlocking a streamlined production pathway. Management notes, “the next six months for Voyageur is going to be truly transformational,” signalling investor confidence in upcoming execution.

Positioned for North American manufacturing leadership

As Voyageur continues to build its commercial footprint, the company stands at an inflection point where capital allocation in health care and pharmaceutical manufacturing is accelerating. With a fully funded path to commercialization, validated market acceptance, and proprietary vertical integration, Voyageur is constructing the only integrated barium and iodine contrast media manufacturing facility in North America — positioning itself to capture significant market share from incumbents facing legacy supply chain vulnerabilities.

Transcript

Ethan Mohan: Voyageur Pharmaceuticals competes in a small sandbox with $4-billion multinationals that control the space. They all make iodine contrast media, except for one of them, which makes iodine contrast media and barium contrast media. They have to source their pharmaceutical-grade iodine and barium through broken third-party supply chains currently.

Where Voyageur fits into this puzzle is that we’re the only company in the space that owns and controls these mineral resources with proprietary technology to bring them from the Earth to the bottle.

The commercialization of Voyageur’s barium contrast portfolio entering the Canadian market in August 2025 is a significant milestone for Voyageur. Not only does it showcase clinical acceptance among diagnostic imaging clinics and health-care authorities here in Canada, it’s also allowed us to pursue the FDA 505(b)(2) pathway, which we’re striving for approval by Q2 2027.

Outside of that, Voyageur needs to obtain these economics from the Canadian market, but also at the same time, grow our distribution network internationally. This allows us to be able to have a full network available for when we turnkey our facility to have $122 million in revenue from our barium contrast sales alone.

Outside of this, the main point why this matters today is that with this economic data and this revenue generation data from barium contrast sales, it allows us to complete our pre-feasibility and our final feasibility on the full barium contrast project that involves showcasing the purity of the Frances Creek resource and how that purity translates to extensive revenues when placed in barium contrast media.

Voyageur’s partnership with Fluor is a massive stamp of validation for all Voyageur iodine projects. Not only is Fluor working in parallel with Bayer for Voyageur to complete the iodine prill project, but Fluor will also be writing the final feasibility for Voyageur’s pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. Fluor does not just engage with any company, so to see them recognizing our technology and the problems we’re solving for a small-cap company speaks volumes.

Voyageur is closing out 2026 by completing our pre- and final feasibility for our barium contrast media project. We are currently engaged with Fluor, who’s working on the final feasibility for the Bayer iodine prill project. From there, Voyageur, on our side for iodine drugs, will be filing our patent for our streamlined iodine contrast media manufacturing process, which will be followed by an internal feasibility to showcase the economics of the streamlined iodine process, proprietary to Voyageur.

The next six months for Voyageur are going to be truly transformational. We are asking investors to sink their teeth into the upcoming milestones released to market and to understand that Voyageur is a company that’s leaving the idea phase and turning a quick corner to commercialization.

We are building the only vertically integrated barium and iodine contrast media manufacturing facility here in North America.
