Clayton Fisher, CEO and Director of IDEX Metals Corp. (TSXV: IDEX | OTCQB: IDXMF), discusses the mineral explorer’s focus on the Freeze copper project in Washington County, Idaho, where a recently completed 91-line-kilometre induced polarization survey has outlined four large chargeability targets across the property. Operating in the newly recognized Idaho Copper Belt, the company’s goal is to define a district-scale copper-molybdenum-gold porphyry system in a domestic jurisdiction, at a time when U.S. copper reshoring and critical mineral security are drawing capital back to American exploration ground.
Freeze porphyry targets supported by copper and tungsten drill results
Unlike explorers testing a single anomaly, IDEX Metals is working on a property where geophysics and drilling point the same way. The 91-line-kilometre survey defined four broad chargeability corridors, each roughly one to 1.6 kilometres long, and Target A carries the pyrite halo pattern typical of a porphyry centre. That picture is supported by results already in hand.
According to Fisher, “At Kismet, drilling has already delivered broad copper and tungsten results, including over 100 metres at 1% copper and 180 metres of 0.11% tungsten.” Pairing a defined target set with intercepts of that width narrows the guesswork in drill planning and gives the 2026 program a measurable starting point.
Idaho copper and tungsten market opportunity builds investor appeal
With copper reshoring reshaping the North American supply picture, IDEX Metals is positioned on a single large land package inside an established mining jurisdiction. Both copper and tungsten, the two metals carrying the Freeze system, sit on the 2025 U.S. critical minerals list, and the property lies in the newly recognized Idaho Copper Belt in Washington County.
By concentrating capital on one district-scale target area rather than a dispersed portfolio, and by drilling ahead of a defined resource, the company aims to give investors early-stage, leveraged exposure to porphyry discovery on American ground rather than diluted exposure across several countries.
Drilling underway with two rigs at Freeze project
Recent milestones include completion of the expanded IP survey, definition of the four chargeability targets, and the start of the 2026 drill campaign with a second rig now on site. Fisher says, “We now have two rigs turning: one testing Target A, our top porphyry target at North Breccia, and the other expanding the Kismet oxide copper zone.” These steps move the property from target generation into systematic testing. Looking ahead, assays from the current program are pending, with permitting on additional targets expected to follow.
Building toward a district-scale Idaho copper system
As IDEX Metals works to define the scale of the Freeze system, it stands at the intersection of U.S. copper reshoring and demand for domestically sourced critical minerals. With two rigs turning, four targets outlined, and assays pending, the company is positioned to deliver staged, testable progress in Idaho.

Clayton Fisher: I’m excited to share the latest progress from IDEX Metals and our flagship Freeze Project in Idaho. Our recently completed 91-line-kilometre IP survey has outlined four large chargeability targets across the property, supporting what we believe could be a district-scale copper-molybdenum-gold porphyry system.
And this is not just geophysics. At Kismet, drilling has already delivered broad copper and tungsten results, including over 100 metres at 1% copper and 180 metres of 0.11% tungsten.
We now have two rigs turning: one testing Target A, our top porphyry target at North Breccia, and the other expanding the Kismet oxide copper zone.
With drilling underway, assays pending, and multiple targets advancing, this is an exciting time for IDEX Metals. We invite you to follow our progress closely.
