Stuart Waugh - Managing Partner, Northleaf Capital Partners
Stuart is the Managing Partner at Northleaf, where he leads the firm's private markets investment strategies and fund management. He chairs the Investment Committees and oversees Northleaf’s investments, from sourcing to evaluation and monitoring. Stuart is also involved in investor relations and business development, and he sits on the boards and advisory committees of several investments in Northleaf’s portfolio. Before joining Northleaf’s predecessor, TD Capital, in 2002, Stuart was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company and an Executive Vice-President at BPI Financial Corporation, a publicly traded asset management firm. He started out as a corporate/securities lawyer at McCarthy Tétrault, where he worked on private equity, infrastructure, capital markets, and M&A deals. Stuart holds a bachelor of arts from Trinity College, University of Toronto, and a bachelor of laws.

Arup has been a professional quantitative investor for more than three decades, managing portfolios across virtually every capitalization and region of the world. Between 1992 and 2012 he was a Quantitative Analyst, Portfolio Manager, Director of U.S. and Director of Portfolio Management with Man Numeric. In 2012, he founded Agriya Investors, which later became the international arm of AJO. He joined Mackenzie in September 2017 to head the Global Quantitative Equity Team. Arup holds a bachelor of technology from the Indian Institute of Technology in Kanpur, India, and earned a master of business administration with distinction from the Johnson School of Management at Cornell University. He is a CFA charterholder.
