(Bloomberg) -- Chief Macro Strategist Mayank Seksaria has left Macro Risk Advisors to join independent derivatives advisory firm Riverside Risk Advisors as a director.

His new job will involve utilizing derivatives to tailor solutions for clients that enable them to mitigate a variety of global capital markets and risks from changes in the macro and policy environment. The New York-based firm highlighted his expertise in international and particularly emerging markets as an asset for clients.

Riverside Risk co-founder and partner Joyce Frost said in a phone interview that she is "thrilled" to have him join the company.

Prior to MRA, Seksaria, 35, was a portfolio manager and director of global macro research at San Francisco-based hedge fund Passport Capital.

John Burbank, the founder of Passport, minority-owner of the Golden State Warriors and a Riverside client, referred to him as a “great fit” for the firm, according to a document seen by Bloomberg News.
