(Bloomberg) -- A magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck Aguililla, Mexico, the United States Geological Survey said in statement Thursday. 

The depth of the quake was about 61 kilometers, according to the USGS, and was felt in Mexico City. 

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Hawaii said there was no tsunami threat from the earthquake to the US west coast, British Columbia, or Alaska.
