(Bloomberg) -- A court battle over whether to end Obamacare was put on hold by a federal appeals judge because U.S. courts are running out of funds during the partial government shutdown.

Congressional Democrats supporting an appeal of a Texas judge’s December ruling declaring the Affordable Care Act unconstitutional objected to pausing the case, but U.S. Circuit Judge Leslie Southwick approved the stay on Friday. Obamacare remains in effect until the conclusion of the appeals process.
