(Bloomberg) -- A fire that broke out at Petroleos Mexicanos’s Salina Cruz refinery in Oaxaca state one day after an explosion at another plant was contained, the company reported.

Pemex confirmed a fire at the Hidro II unit and said emergency personnel immediately managed to control the incident without registering injuries or personal damages, according to a tweet. The company is looking into the cause of the fire, it added. The incident, previously reported by local outlet Reforma, happened a day after the company’s Maya unit at the Madero refinery in Tamaulipas state caught fire on Wednesday morning.

While Pemex has said it will focus on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and improve safety at its plants, it faces increasing scrutiny over its poor environmental, social and governance track record and could have difficulty getting bank loans as a result. The latest fires come after three other fatal incidents at its plants in February.

Nearby schools and suburbs were asked to stay alert for a possible evacuation, Reforma added earlier.
