Sempra Takes $1.1 Billion Charge for Aliso Canyon Settlement

(Bloomberg) -- Sempra Energy will take an after-tax charge of about $1.1 billion in connection to a settlement to resolve claims from a massive natural gas leak in 2015.
Sempra’s SoCalGas announced the $1.8 billion settlement Monday for the leak at the Aliso Canyon storage facility near Los Angeles.
The company’s shares fell 0.1% after the close of regular trading in New York.
