(Bloomberg) -- AT&T Inc.’s HBO announced Tuesday that Emmy Award-winning drama series “Succession” has been renewed for a fourth season.

“Succession” is a drama centered on the power struggles of a fictional media magnate’s family for control of their empire. The third season premiered on October 17, garnering over 1.4 million viewers and becoming the best premiere night of any HBO Original series since the launch of HBO Max, according to a press release.

“We couldn’t be more excited for all that’s in store in this next season ahead,” Francesca Orsi, HBO programming’s executive vice president said in the release. 

The drama has won a total of nine Emmy awards. Its second season averaged 5 million viewers per episode.
