What’s in store for the resource sector in 2020? Which commodities are set to surge, and which are set to see the bear market? For starters, palladium had a great 2019, hitting all-time highs in October. But, will this continue? Gold prices could also increase based on continued geopolitical uncertainty. And we know that silver prices tend to move similarly with that of gold, so the metal could also make some crucial moves.

There’s a lot of potential for certain metals to move next year, but all of this, including the latest trends and ideas, will be covered at the 2020 Vancouver Resource Investment Conference (VRIC), hosted by Cambridge House International, between January 19-20 at the Vancouver Convention Centre West.

The Vancouver Resource Investment Conference has been the bellwether of the junior mining market for the last twenty-five years.

Each year, VRIC hosts over 60 keynote speakers, 350 exhibiting companies and 9,000 investors. Investment thought leaders and wealth influencers provide the audience with valuable insights and information related to gold, silver, and much more.

This year is special as VRIC is hosting Lord Conrad Black as one of its featured speakers. Conrad Black is a financier, author, and columnist in numerous publications in Canada, the U.S., and the U.K., including the National Post, which he founded.

He is also the author of several biographies of Maurice Duplessis, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and Richard M. Nixon, a strategic history of the United States, and Rise to Greatness, the History of Canada from the Vikings to the Present. His most recent books are The Canadian Manifesto in 2019, and Donald J. Trump: A president like no other in 2018.

Black is also an honorary chairman of Conrad Black Capital Corporation and has been a member of the British House of Lords as Lord Black of Crossharbour since 2001 and is a Knight of the Holy See.

Apart from Black, VRIC is excited to welcome back Marin Katusa. He has become one of the most successful portfolio managers in the resource sector, such as his 2009 Fund Partnership (KC50 Fund, LLC) which has outperformed the comparable index, the TSX-V by over 600 per cent.

He is also joined by Frank Holmes, CEO and Chief Investment Officer of U.S. Global Investors. Other names include Ross Beaty, Chairman of Pan American Silver Corp and Alterra Power Corp, David Morgan, publisher of the Morgan Report, Daniela Cambone, Editor-in-Chief for Kitco News, and more.

Jay Martin, President and CEO of Cambridge House is excited about this year’s conference. He notes, “This year we've thrown our shoulder behind the VRIC and it's setting up to be the biggest conference since 2013.”

“We have to transcend the small-cap sector and tie the world’s most significant plotlines back to the supply and demand of natural resources. Speakers like Conrad Black, Peter Brown, and Peter Schiff will connect the dots.”

He adds, “Conrad Black has carried so much influence over the narratives that dominate our headlines and until recently, was unreachable. This will likely be the closest most of us get to someone who has a direct line to world leaders. Also, as the Founder of Cannacord Genuity, Peter Brown has been at the table for more game-changing moments than anyone I know in the resource space.”

“I can't wait to hear what they have to say.”

The lineup of speakers is truly remarkable — investors will be in the company of major industries giants and experts, which makes VRIC the transcendental conference to attend.
