What you get: This 73-year old home has an unfinished basement, but the bright side is the listing touts this as the “perfect opportunity” to build your dream home. The lot of this two-bedroom house is 4,100 square feet, but inside, you have 1,300 square feet.

Price: $1,238,000
What you get: At 860 square feet, you’re really paying for the Collingwood home’s 4,600-square-foot lot. The listing describes this property as a “private oasis” and an option for “exciting redevelopment.” It has three bedrooms, but it’s most salient feature can be found in plain sight: A funky-looking garage that’s split in half, one currently being used as a sound studio.

What you get: This 76-year old home has two bedrooms, lane access, a fire place – and again, just one bathroom. It’s located in Vancouver’s quiet South Granville neighbourhood and is a short drive from the University of British Columbia. It has a ‘somewhat walkable’ walk score. We also hope the bright purple La-Z-Boy recliner is included in this nearly $2-million house.
