Tim Hortons is in the process of making the final adjustments to its long-awaited loyalty program, which it will be rolling out “very soon” across the country, the coffee-and-doughnut chain’s president said.

“It’s going well,” Alex Macedo told BNN Bloomberg in an interview Monday, noting the program has been tested in seven markets. “We found [a winning program] that we think is excellent to be able to drive guest satisfaction and franchise profitability.”

“We’re now making the final adjustments,” he added.

Macedo said the program was being tested using a physical loyalty card only, but when the complete rollout happens, the program will also be integrated into a mobile app.

“We’re just fine-tuning, and very soon we’re going to be able to bring it out to our guests all across Canada,” he said.

Tim Hortons first announced its loyalty program last spring in an effort to regain customers’ trust after the chain publicly struggled to fix its strained relationship with franchisees.
