TORONTO — Logistics software company Descartes Systems Group has acquired Extensiv, a U.S. provider of warehouse management and fulfilment software, for US$120 million.
Descartes says the deal for the California-based firm expands its warehouse and inventory management capabilities.
Extensiv provides warehouse management and fulfilment systems for third-party logistics providers.
Scott Sangster, general manager, logistics services providers at Descartes, says the combination will enable companies to expand their offerings and grow operations with a single technology provider.
The acquisition follows a deal by Descartes announced last month to buy Tai Software for about US$100 million.
California-based Tai provides AI-powered transportation management services for freight brokers.
