North American markets show gains at open
The Nasdaq was up more than two per cent when markets opened this morning. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 was up around 1.7 per cent, while the TSX saw more modest gains at around one per cent.

OPEC cut forecasts for global oil demand growth slightly this year and next as U.S. President Donald Trump’s tariff onslaught takes a toll on consumption, while remaining more bullish than other forecasters.
Wall Street was poised to add to last week’s gains when markets open on Monday as investors juggle incoming corporate earnings along with possible tariff updates from the U.S. and its trading partners.
