(Bloomberg) -- Police in Amsterdam were dispatched to a site near the flagship Apple store in the city’s center to respond to a possible robbery, citing a “report at a shop.”

“There is someone with a firearm in/near the shop in question, the police are on site with many (specialist) units to get the situation under control,” the police wrote in a message posted to the social media site Twitter a few minutes later.

The police didn’t identify the owner of the store, but several Twitter accounts showed footage of police amassed outside the Apple store at the bustling Leidesplein. Local news outlet ANP reported that the area was cordoned off amid “talk of a robbery, possibly at the Apple Store there.”

At least one unverified account showed footage of what appeared to be a person held at gunpoint inside the Apple retail location.

Other videos show police speaking over megaphones to people in the store and other police officers stationed outside the store with weapons. A spokesperson for Cupertino, California-based Apple didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
