(Bloomberg) -- Boris Johnson is due to address the influential 1922 Committee of Conservative Members of Parliament on Wednesday, according to a person familiar with the matter, a sign his office expects the publication of the long-awaited internal probe into “partygate” to be published on the same day.

The prime minister has pledged to make a statement to the House of Commons after the report by civil servant Sue Gray is published. With the 1922 meeting due to start at 5 p.m., the timing would allow for a statement to Parliament in the afternoon followed by another appearance in front of his own MPs.
