(Bloomberg) -- A car bomb exploded at a police academy in Colombia’s capital, killing at least five people and injuring 10, authorities said.

The vehicle exploded at the General Santander school, located in southern Bogota, Mayor Enrique Penalosa said, citing preliminary information. Authorities said an investigation was underway into who was responsible for the attack.

Local news outlets reported that the car violently entered the academy, with social media accounts posting photos of the charred remains of the vehicle.

President Ivan Duque said he was immediately returning to Bogota and had ordered authorities to investigate what he called a “miserable terrorist act.”

“Colombia is saddened but it will not give in to violence,” Duque said on Twitter.
