(Bloomberg) -- Deutsche Bank AG elevated Kent Penwell, Tim Wiedelmann and John Anos to be global co-heads of financial sponsors, its unit that covers private equity dealmaking, according to people with knowledge of the matter.

Penwell, Wiedelmann and Anos succeed Michael Walsh, who has moved into the role of chairman, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the moves haven’t been publicly announced.

A Deutsche Bank spokesman declined to comment.

Penwell, who is based in San Francisco, was formerly US head of financial sponsors, and Wiedelmann oversaw the unit’s operations in Europe. Anos will keep his current role as global co-head of industrials.

The senior ranks of the firm’s investment bank have been shaken up in recent months. Amid those departing are its top investment banker, Drew Goldman, who is set to join the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority next month.
