This Conference Comes at a Good Time for Metals

The last few months have proven to be uncertain for the mining and metals sector, with precious, base, and energy metal prices seeing major declines. The ongoing trade wars and sanctions have played a large role in contributing to the already volatile market, but in the midst of this madness is an opportunity for investors to buy into the market.

Brien Lundin, President and CEO of the New Orleans Conference, emphasizes that this is a “great opportunity for investors who can position themselves correctly.” He explains that when it comes to the metals market, “Both gold and silver tend to track each other. Silver tends to move more than gold, both upward and downward. As a result, people should look at the factors driving gold, and then invest in silver because it will provide more upside potential.” He notes that gold is in a bottoming process, but this means that it’s also primed for a rebound.

Moreover, the opportunity that comes with attending the conference is that while “there may be another 5% downside potential in gold, there is potential for 100% or more in high quality junior mining stocks right now.” There is a similar opportunity with base metals, which have been affected by geopolitical tensions. Although prices are currently low, Brien believes that this will be temporary and that economic issues will resolve.

It’s important to note that early Fall is typically a stronger time for metals and mining stocks, so this conference falls at a good investing point. Brien notes that, “The markets tend to slide into mid-December and then start to rebound. This goes well into the new year, so there is an investment opportunity in the fall to early winter in addition to the one we have right now.”

Conference Details

There couldn’t be a better time to attend the New Orleans Investment Conference. Apart from the incredible opportunity for investors to tap into the metals market, attendees should know that they are taking part in an event that has been the leader in providing knowledge and tips to the mining industry for over four decades.

“This conference is the world’s oldest investment event. It was started in 1974 and over the years it has featured the giants of geopolitics, economics, and the world’s top experts in every market sector.” Notable past speakers include Margaret Thatcher, Ayn Rand, Milton Friedman, and more.

This is also the original retail investor/investment conference to teach American citizens how to invest in gold, which, in 1974, was newly legalized. Ever since then the conference has carried a theme of metals and mining investment, as well as promoting free market economics.

Brien notes how the conference drills down on big issues, making them easier to understand. Attendees will hear the latest views and prognostics from this year’s speakers, timely strategies to take advantage of big picture trends, and the specific tips/best recommendations that the speakers save for this event.
