(Bloomberg) -- Former New York Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg has purchased an estimated $5 million worth of television advertising time in more than 25 local markets for a possible presidential run.

The ads are scheduled to begin airing Monday, according to data from Advertising Analytics, which tracks political commercials. There is no indication of the content of the ads.

Bloomberg is spending more than $600,000 each in the Boston, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston and Los Angeles markets, as well as others, including the West Palm Beach market, where President Donald Trump has his Mar-a-Lago estate. His total spend may rise as Advertising Analytics receives reports from additional markets.

The former mayor has not purchased any time in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada or South Carolina, the states that hold the first four presidential nominating contests in February. A spokesman did not immediately return messages seeking comment.

Bloomberg is the founder and majority owner of Bloomberg LP, the parent company of Bloomberg News.
