(Bloomberg) -- Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg will miss arguments Monday at the U.S. Supreme Court as she recovers from surgery to remove cancerous growths from her lung, marking the first time she hasn’t sat for an argument since she joined the court in 1993.

Ginsburg, 85, will participate in the cases from home using the transcripts, Supreme Court spokeswoman Kathy Arberg told reporters.
