(Bloomberg) -- Greece will disburse a one-time allowance to pensioners that is expected to cost around €300 million ($322.8 million), Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said Tuesday.

The allowance will be given “taking into account fiscal ability,” Mitsotakis told reporters in Kozani, northern Greece.

Pensioners who didn’t get any rise when the government increased their pensions at the end of 2022 will now benefit from the allowance, the premier said.

Each individual who is eligible for the extra allowance is expected to get from €200 to €300, depending on the level of their pension, Mitsotakis said.
