(Bloomberg) -- Borussia Dortmund’s six-goal thriller against Atlético de Madrid didn’t just land the German football team its first place in a UEFA Champions League semi-final since 2013. It also promises more profit for the only listed Bundesliga football club.

Dortmund raised its guidance for the year ending June 30 after the club clinched a 4:2 victory at home against the Spanish side in the second leg of a quarter-final match late on Tuesday. Coach Edin Terzic’s team will face France’s Paris Saint-Germain on May 7.

Regardless of the outcome, Dortmund now expects full-year net income in the range of €33 million ($35 million) to €43 million, according to a statement on Wednesday. That compares with its previous forecast of €25 million to €35 million. Dortmund reported profit of €10 million in fiscal 2023.

It’s the first time in 11 years that the club has reached the last four of Europe’s most prestigious club tournament. It won its last semi-final against Real Madrid only to lose against German archrival Bayern Munich in the final. Bayern faces Arsenal in the second leg of its Champions League quarter final later on Wednesday.

The shares climbed as much as 11% on Wednesday, the most intraday since May 2023. The stock is up just 1.4% since the start of the year.
