Companies that prioritize workplace culture make the best employers, according to annual rankings released by online job search and recruitment platform Glassdoor on Wednesday.

“This year marks the shift to a culture-first decade in the workplace. Glassdoor’s Employees’ Choice Awards winners are employers that are prioritizing culture, mission and employees at the heart of everything they do,” Christian Sutherland-Wong, president, chief operating officer and incoming CEO of Glassdoor, said in a release Wednesday.

Microsoft Corporation retained its place atop the list with an average employee rating of 4.5 out of a possible five stars. Salesforce, meanwhile, claimed the runner-up spot, despite not even cracking the top 25 in 2019.

The top Canadian company on the list was Keg Restaurants, which held its fourth-place ranking from 2019.
