(Bloomberg) -- He’s known as the president of the people, and Indonesian leader Joko Widodo’s reign has been hallmarked by big — and costly — ambitions.

As his time at the top of the world’s fourth-most populous nation comes to a close, Jokowi sits down with Bloomberg TV’s Haslinda Amin in a wide-ranging interview for her new show, Latitude.

In the debut episode, Amin covers Tesla to Chinese investment, challenging the outgoing president over cost overruns on the $7 billion high-speed rail line from Jakarta to the city of Bandung. It’s part of a building boom Jokowi hopes his successor will carry on, with the creation of new capital Nusantara at the center of his infrastructure dream.

In Latitude, Amin tells the story of Asia’s rise through the people helping to shape it.

Using her unparalleled network and deep expertise in the region, Latitude with Haslinda Amin takes viewers around Asia to meet the leaders, businesspeople and entrepreneurs forging it’s future.
