Amazon is making investments in its Canadian operations and the company says Prime members are seeing the benefits.

John Felton, senior vice-president of worldwide operations at Amazon, told BNN Bloomberg that the company’s Canadian operations have grown to more than 41,000 employees across 60 facilities.

“Canada is now one of fastest-growing countries in the world, we’ve invested over $25 billion in Canada since 2010,” he said in the interview.

“The investment we’re making in this country is really paying off and the growth that we’ve seen is impressive.”

Due to these investments, Felton said customers are receiving their orders more smoothly than ever.

“The second quarter was our fastest delivery speeds ever for Canadian customers and that was very similar in the U.S. and other parts of the world,” he said.
